1. About these terms

These website terms apply when you access or use the Operon Flooring website, including the quote flow, product guidance pages, floor plan tool, quote-review tool, chatbot, contact forms, guide content and related online features.

By using the website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, you should not use the website.

These terms relate to website use and online tools. If Operon Flooring later provides a written quote, invoice, installation agreement, product order, supply agreement or site confirmation, that document may include additional or different terms for the actual project.

2. Website information is general guidance

The website provides general flooring information, product guidance, quote-scope education and online workflow support. It is not building, engineering, legal, financial, strata, compliance or professional certification advice.

Flooring suitability and installation scope depend on the property, product, subfloor, moisture conditions, strata requirements, underlay, floor preparation, removal, stairs and finishing details.

You should not rely on website information as the sole basis for accepting a quote, ordering materials, booking installation or making building/strata decisions.

3. Online estimates are not final quotes

Any online estimate, calculator result, quote-preview amount, scope review, comparison note or suggested project range is a starting point only.

Online estimates are based on the information provided by the user and the assumptions available to the website at the time. They may change after product details, measurements, floor preparation, stairs, underlay, removal, disposal, trims, skirting, scotia, moisture or other project factors are reviewed.

A final price is only confirmed when Operon Flooring issues or accepts a written quote or agreement after relevant details have been reviewed.

4. Quote requests and customer information

When you submit a quote request, you are asking Operon Flooring to review the information provided and contact you about the next step. Submitting a quote request does not require you to proceed with a project, and it does not guarantee that Operon Flooring will accept, price or perform the project.

You are responsible for providing accurate and complete information where practical, including product type, property type, area, suburb, access conditions, removal needs, stairs, furniture, floor preparation, apartment/strata requirements and other relevant details.

If information is missing, unclear or incorrect, the estimate or review may be inaccurate or incomplete.

5. Floor plan tool

The floor plan tool is a measurement assistant. It helps users upload or trace floor plan information and send a measured starting area into the quote flow.

The tool does not produce a final site measurement, does not calculate final price, does not apply all wastage or installation allowances, and does not replace site confirmation where required.

Accuracy depends on the quality of the uploaded plan, scale calibration, user tracing, selected rooms, inclusions/exclusions and whether the plan matches the actual property. Final site details may still need confirmation before fixed pricing.

6. Quote-review tool

The quote-review tool helps identify what an uploaded or entered quote appears to include or omit. It may review visible details such as product category, area, unit rate, GST, total, removal, underlay, preparation, stairs, trims, disposal and other scope items.

The tool does not decide whether another contractor is right or wrong, does not guarantee that a quote is fair, and does not provide legal advice. It is designed to help you ask better questions and compare scope more carefully.

If a quote has missing or unclear details, you should confirm the scope in writing before relying on price comparisons.

7. Product information and availability

Product descriptions, images, colours, ranges, specifications, suitability notes and availability information are provided as general guidance. Colours and finishes may appear different on screens or in photos. Product availability, pricing, warranty, batch, stock and specifications can change.

Final product selection should be confirmed through samples, supplier information, written quote details or other project-specific confirmation before ordering or installation.

8. Site conditions and scope changes

Flooring projects can change after site review. Factors that may affect price, suitability, timing or method include:

actual measured area or floor plan variance;
existing flooring removal and disposal;
subfloor condition, levelling, moisture, damage or preparation;
stairs, stair nosing, open sides, winders and landings;
skirting, scotia, trims, transitions and door trimming;
apartment, building-management and strata rules;
furniture, occupied-property complexity and scheduling constraints;
underlay, acoustic requirements, warranty conditions and product availability.

Unless clearly included in a written quote, uncertain or unconfirmed items may require review or separate pricing.

9. Apartment, strata and acoustic requirements

If the project is in an apartment, unit, strata property or building with management rules, you are responsible for checking and providing relevant requirements, including by-laws, acoustic underlay rules, approval requirements, work hours and building-management conditions.

Operon Flooring may provide general guidance, but the website does not guarantee strata approval, acoustic compliance, building approval or suitability for a particular building.

10. Bookings, deposits, payments and cancellations

Website use alone does not create a booking. A project is only booked when Operon Flooring confirms it in writing or under a separate quote, invoice, booking confirmation or agreement.

Payment terms, deposits, cancellation terms, product-order requirements and timing will be set out in the relevant quote, invoice or agreement where applicable. Some product orders, custom selections or scheduled works may be subject to separate cancellation or variation conditions.

11. Your responsibilities

You agree to use the website and tools responsibly. You must not:

submit false, misleading, unlawful or unauthorised information;
upload files you do not have permission to use;
upload malware, spam, offensive content or unrelated files;
use the website to reverse-engineer pricing, misuse data or interfere with operations;
copy, scrape, overload, attack or disrupt the website;
use website content in a way that misleads others or infringes rights.

12. User uploads and licence to use uploaded content

When you upload a floor plan, quote, image, PDF, project note or other content, you confirm that you have the right to provide it for the relevant flooring enquiry or workflow.

You give Operon Flooring permission to use, store, process, extract, review and share that uploaded content as reasonably necessary to respond to your enquiry, review scope, support measurement, prepare follow-up, manage records, improve systems, handle disputes and comply with legal obligations.

13. Intellectual property

The website, branding, design, text, graphics, tools, workflows, calculators, code, product organisation, quote logic, reports and content are owned by or licensed to Operon Flooring unless otherwise stated.

You may use the website for personal or project-related enquiry purposes. You must not copy, reproduce, adapt, distribute, sell, scrape, reverse-engineer or commercially exploit website content or tools without permission.

14. Website availability and changes
